DirectIP provides your IP addresses as they appear to lookup services. Not all ISPs provide reverse lookup, meaning that your hostname may be the same as your IP, or may not be available.

Hostnames are obtained via reverse DNS (PTR records) when available. IPv6 reverse DNS uses the ip6.arpa zone.
